As a post-digital future laboratory, the Galerie für Gegenwartskunst, E-WERK (Gallery II) presents a selection of young conceptual art from the private collection of Lukas Jakob. Living in Freiburg, he is one of the youngest collectors in Germany. The selected works by young international artists deal with future ideologies, socialisation processes and Crypto net culture. These artists question power structures in times of constant self-optimisation of the individual in the digital space. In their artistic production, they use processes from the fields of medicine, crafts, design or sub- and crypto-culture in new ways to create partly interactive installations.
How fragile is the artistic DNA of this generation? What are their means of exchange in a globalised networked society and with what hybrid forms do they seek to meet the challenges of their time?
